Welcome to the
new year
Ah, rest time is over, and it's back
into the whirlwind! With Black Coffee coming up in less than two
months, the MTL studio is abuzz. Dance rehearsals, band rehearsals,
costume creation, meetings and schedules are overflowing from our little
pocket of the world. I hope you had the chance to rest, recharge
and energise and have been able to hit the ground running full of energy
this year. Unless you are still on holidays, in which case ...
"half your luck".
If you read the Advertiser on week days,
you will have received your Fringe guide today. Yes, tickets are
now on sale for Black Coffee and all Fringe events.
Read on for more about our ticket sales below. As you can imagine,
the cast of Black Coffee is absolutely flat out rehearsing for the show
and it's all starting to come to life. We're also still fundraising,
with a movie night coming up on Friday 6 February and a donations appeal
for Black Coffee launched last week. The new board has met three
times, and the new board members are building deeper understanding
of what we do, why we are here and what we value, and helping spread
the word about Black Coffee and our other activities.
If you want to find out more, please

two people break away from the ordinary without breaking apart?

Australian Cultural Fund
As you may know, Move Through Life has recently
been registered for the Australian Cultural Fund (ACF), which is administered
by the Australian Business Arts Foundation.
The Fund was established to encourage people to donate to the arts and give not-for-profit groups like Move Through Life the chance to benefit from this generosity. All donations are made to AbaF which considers donor preferences when allocating grants. In the past five years more than $4 million has been donated to AbaF and granted to more than 200 artists and cultural organisations. All donations to the Australia Cultural Fund are tax deductible. You can support Black Coffee and Move Through Life by making a donation by 29 January 2009. You can either download a donation form from the MTL website or go straight the the AbaF website to complete an online form (don't forget to specify Move Through Life as your donor preference) You can find out more about the Australia Cultural Fund by visiting www.abaf.org.au and clicking on Giving and Donating.
Well, that's all folks. I'll let
you know if anything else comes up in the near future. I hope to
see you sometime soon at either an event or a performance.
